Dorchester United Win Derby!

After weeks of rain the field felt like a wet sponge but that didn't stop this Derby from happening and everybody in attendance was treated to a great night of soccer!

Eduar Reyes opened the scoring in the first half on a ball that deflected off a defender for a 1-0 early United advantage. The Wildcats, playing without some of their top talent due to injuries, stormed back and scored 2 successive goals to take a 2-1 halftime lead. Bryan Sanchez scored his second of the season to even things out and both teams spent the next 25 minutes battling it out on an ever worsening and very muddy field.

With 8-minutes to-go, Carter Wells banged one off of the crossbar and Nathan Williams was there or the tap in to secure a 3-2 victory for Dorchester United.

This is the 3rd year of this rivalry and it has previously been pretty lopsided with the Wildcats earning victories in every game. But this time DUSC dominated possession and were able to keep their composure on a tough playing field to earn their first win in the Derby. The rematch will be on Tuesday, October 4th and according to the Wildcats coach, Chris Vedder, "They will be ready to avenge this one."
